A new video from Mel Gibson’s new movie, Mel Gibson Movies: The First 25 Years, offers a few pointers on how to make a Mel Gibson movie that will make you laugh out loud.
“When I was growing up, I was a kid, and I watched movies, and the films were very good,” Gibson said in the video, which was posted to YouTube last night.
“I watched them when I was 14, 15, 16 years old, and so on.
And they were good, but they were not movies that I enjoyed, and they weren’t movies that were very funny.”
Gibson said he has always enjoyed watching movies.
“If you go to any of my movies, you’ll be like, ‘Oh, I don’t really know this character, but I know that character,'” Gibson said.
“It’s just a wonderful way to be a kid and have that feeling that you’re watching something that is just so funny.”
He added that he always watched the films of other movie stars when he was younger.
“That was my introduction to a lot of them,” Gibson added.
“And I have been watching a lot more of these movies.
I like the fact that they’re kind of like a family, because they’re all very funny.
It’s a family of films.”
Gibson added that the films he enjoyed most were “all of the big, old classics that are all about the family.”
He said that the movies he’s enjoyed the most are “the ones where it’s not about family and you’re not really being a parent.”
“And so, you know, I’m a very independent person,” Gibson joked.
“You know, there’s nothing else to do, and you just do what you have to do.
And I’ve never been one of those people who would go to movies to be in the audience.
I would go in and just enjoy myself, and just go to the movies.”
The video also offers a glimpse into Gibson’s relationship with his father, who died in a car accident in 2004.
“Mel was my dad’s favorite movie star,” Gibson explained.
“He loved my father so much.
He was so happy for me.
And when he died, it was just like, he died for the first time.
And so, Mel’s dad was just such a big, big, huge fan.”
Gibson told The Hollywood Reporter that his father’s death was “an enormous, huge tragedy” and that he would never have met him if he didn’t have that love for his father.
“So, I have that same feeling,” Gibson admitted.
“Yeah, it’s hard.
It was an enormous, massive loss.”
Gibson also discussed the influence his father had on him growing up.
“My father is a big inspiration to me because he really was a great man, a great artist, and he had this incredible, beautiful life, and it was his inspiration,” Gibson told THR.
“His death is the ultimate tragedy.
It doesn’t matter what you look at, it doesn’t really matter what’s going on in the world, but he was an artist who lived his life in love with his family, and his wife and his daughter.
And that’s what I really look at as an inspiration.”
